Book Haul from Victoria + Review

Last post I mentioned that I picked up some books while on my trip in Victoria. For this post, I will be diving into my book haul. Surprisingly, I’ve already finished all of the books I bought, so I’ll also review each one in brief. I think one of my favorite things about Victoria was the large selection of books they had on sale, a lot of great used finds, but also a ton of new books at a discount. I was so tempted to buy every single book cover that grabbed my attention. I know they say don’t judge a book by its cover, but I’m the kind of person who does exactly that (in terms of books) and on this trip, aesthetics did play a huge factor. However, looking back, I realized that nostalgia played the biggest factor.

Nostalgia…the good ol’ days

As usual, I’m procrastinating again. Instead of writing my papers, I avoid it by blogging. Funny how procrastination can work in ways to veer off other forms of procrastination (like how this procrastination countered my blogging procrastination).

These days I’ve been on a nostalgic streak. Sure, I’ve had these bursts of reflecting on the good ol’ days every now and then. But these past 4 days, it has really hit me hard, to the point I’ve cried a few times, and I’m not one to really cry ever since I’ve entered high school (a long time ago).

And it’s not because I miss those days. I mean, I do, but at the same time, I fear.
