Celestial Seasonings Tea Haul & Review

Lately I’ve been getting into teas. I’ve always passed by Celestial Seasonings tea in the grocery aisle but never thought to pick them up until recently and I’ve gotta say, I really like them. They’re very flavorful and I love their vividly-coloured packaging with the whimsical illustrations. I also found out they have cups and tins with the illustrations on them, one of which is a holiday sugar cookie collectible tin that I really want but sadly I can’t find any of the holiday teas here in Canada (since they place it in some of the tea boxes). I will be reviewing three of the tea boxes I picked up, all of which are decaffeinated (also suitable for drinking before bedtime): Bengal Spice, Sleepytime Vanilla, and Fruit Sampler.

I’ve also included tea “swatches” (yes I made that term up), so you can see how the teas look like after they’ve been steeped.

Rose-flavored Kit Kats?

So I saw this box of Kit Kats the other day on sale for $1.99 (usually they’re like $4.99) at an H-Mart (Korean superstore) the other day and was shocked to find out they were rose-flavored! This box had four mini Kit Kat bars in total (2 white rose, and 2 almond-looking-flavored). I have heard of Kit Kat having inventive flavors, especially with their Japanese lines, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a rose one, at least not in person. Prior to this, the most exciting flavor I’ve tried were green tea Kit Kats (since they were the ones that were usually on sale and all the others were too pricey for me).
